Deaf Ministry
The Deaf Ministry of Kona United Methodist Church (KUMC) is to take God’s love to Deaf, Hard of hearing, and hearing people. American Sign Language (ASL) is the heart language of Deaf Ministry at KUMC to translate the language of love in God’s “kin-dom.” So, we use our hands to touch the lives of people and make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Kona UMC’s Deaf Ministry team believes that the art of life is to show our hands.
